On May the 22nd 2025 we, the FFN Academy Velp group, organized a documentary screening. This was our third event as the new Velp group and our second documentary screening.

Our event took off at 15:45 with a short introduction about the FFN Academy, popcorn and drinks! Even though we had a small turnout, because of excursions and project days, it was still very enjoyable! After the short FFN Academy introduction we started with the short documentary first, which was about rewilding Rio one species at the time.

When this documentary was finished, we briefly discussed it while everyone could get new popcorn and drinks. We had some fun conversations about the things we had seen in the documentary, and we happily started the second one.

The second documentary was also very interesting. We watched “Rewilding a nation” by Robi Watkinson and Emma Hodson in which they traveled across Britain and the Netherlands documenting and exploring the rewilding movements. During the short break (because the documentary was an hour long) and after the documentary was over, we discussed a lot about what we had just seen. We all agreed that it was a great documentary and that it was really interesting to see all these rewilding movements. It gave a really great perspective on how certain animals can make such a big difference in ecosystems and how bringing back a species can cause so much change!!

After quite some talking and laughing we thanked everyone for coming and said goodbye. With this we brought this event to a successful ending and hope to see everyone again at our next event!!!
